Math is by far our most requested area for support from early elementary through high school, college, and post-graduate. The math skills learned early in a child’s schooling serve as the foundation, or the building blocks, for more complex math in high school and beyond. For example, if a student struggles with addition, then subtraction will be difficult. If even the smallest piece of knowledge is missed, the results down the road can be very frustrating.

Our tutors know that mastering fundamental math skills early on will help students throughout their lives. Students learn in many different ways, so we take time to understand what works best for each individual student. Learn for Life will help identify and rebuild a student’s math foundations while helping with their existing homework. Our tutoring will focus on how to improve the understanding of each math concept.

Learn for Life’s language arts tutoring is completely personalized and designed to meet the student’s specific needs. Whenever possible, we use the student’s own curriculum to maximize the efficiency of the student’s learning. However, beyond the immediate objective of helping the student with curriculum material that’s unclear, our tutors identify and fill in the foundational building blocks that are missing and impede the student’s ability to understand the material with confidence.

Our language arts tutors encourage students to use the skills they have already learned while building the new skills needed to master their language arts curriculum. They strive to create and nourish a love of reading and writing in each student. This makes every other learning opportunity that arises much easier to understand and master.
