Getting Started:
First, we can help guide you in setting up your home school with curriculum selection and lesson planning that best fits your child’s learning style, interests, and level of ability.
We will give you ideas about how to organize your day, how much time to spend on instruction, and even some fun ideas for “car school” for those of you who spend a lot of time in the car. Think: freedom to roam and learn!
HOW TOs:
We can show you how to best utilize current resources to meet your goals and fit into your lifestyle. We can help plan out skill development, determine the best choices for future studies, and supplement your current curriculum plan. Don’t know what to do for art or music appreciation? We have lots of suggestions that have been tried and loved. If you hate your spelling book, we can find one that better fits your needs. Or, like many kids, math can become stale and tedious so let us help you jazz up math practice with hands-on games and activities.
Encouragement:
Everyone needs help from time to time to stay motivated and feel like they are on the right track. We offer consultations in person or by phone to give you the assurances you need to keep going.
Mom and Dad are an important component of the learning environment, and we love to get you excited about what you can do with your child to make learning fun!
Assessment:
We will connect you with assessment tools to make sure your child is achieving the goals you have set for him or her.
Annual standardized tests, compiling a portfolio of work for the year, or final projects to demonstrate learning are all ideas we can explain to you.
Transcripting For Graduation:
Creating a high school transcript with classes studied, descriptions where needed, and grades is a valuable and time-saving service we provide to make your home school journey complete.
These transcripts can be used for college admissions or for job applications.
Make your hard work official with a personalized home school transcript documenting your high school work.
